Outskirts

Mega District 4 sits atop a man made plateau built to halt the rising sea levels.

The edges of the city nearest the water (commonly referred to, somewhat ironically, as The Riviera) are a collection of slums that are constantly blasted by harsh weather and always under threat of being consumed by (or dragged into) the endless ocean beyond.

As the city spreads inwards the buildings begin to grow higher and more lavish, as each new development sought out higher climbs to ensure continued longevity.

In the centre of the city is Gateway Tower, which looms over rest of the city and is a self contained ecosystem home to the faceless Gateway Corp COs and Mega District 4’s most affluent - who rarely venture beyond the tower limits.

In the ocean beyond the walls remnants of the old city can be seen emerging through the waters surface. A lingering reminder of a mostly forgotten history.
